In this article, I'll show you how to use the Unified User Profile in BEA WebLogic Portal. I look at the programming and configuration steps necessary to use the portal's built-in rules engine together with the external user profile data to provide a personalized portal presentation. BEA WebLogic Portal runs on top of WebLogic Server and has a number of features and services that enable you to build an interactive and adaptive portal site. One of its great strengths is that it provides tools to configure the site based on the user's profile.
